STRAND THEATRE.
The theme of."As a Man Lives" screening again to-day afc the Strand Theatre, is an interesting one. Among other things it concerns the effect of a man's appearance on his character, and the , success -of a great surgeon's efforts to redeem the souls of .criminals by transforming evil faces into pleasant ones. Further interest comes through his ' efforts to strengthen a character not wholly bad by a slighter alteration of the subject's features. The second feature is "The Eleventh Hour," in which the eternal triangle has a distinctly different ending than is usually tho caso with this class of picture. Tlie clouds lift, and all is well after a fine climax. Supports include a comedy and gazette; while Mr. Harry Avery and his jazz band provide -up-to-date and delightful music.
