COMING MEETINGS
Lieutenant-Colonel G. Mitchell, Independent candidate for Wellington South, invites ladies who are willing to assist him in his candidature to meet him at the Newtown Library on Wednesday afternoon, at 3 o'clock.
Mr. J. P. Luke, M.P. for Wellington North, asks all electors favourable to his candidature, to meet him in the Con T cert Chamber of the Town Hall at 8 o'clock to-night. Three Labour candidates are announced to address electors at 8 o'clock tonight. Mr. R. Semple, M.P. for Wellington South, will speak at Fulford's Hall, Brooklyn; Mr. A. L. Monteith (Wellington East) will give an address at the Tea Kiosk, Oriental Bay; and Mr. A. W. Cioskery (Wellington Suburbs) will publicly express hie views in St. Hilda's Hall, Island Bay.
Mr. T. M. Wilford will meet his supporters at the Town Hall (not Lyceum, as previously advertised), Lower Hutt, to-night for the purpose of forming committees.
Mr. W. H. Field, who is seeking reelection as member for Otaki, will open his campaign with an address in the New Churchroom, Waikanae, at 8 o'clock tonight. He will speak in the Upper Hutt to-morrow night, at Ohau on Thursday next, and at the Town Hall, Otaki, on Friday next. ;
A public meeting will be held by Mr. R. Semple (Wellington South) in the Star Theatre, Newtown, at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
The supporters in Levin of Mr. W. H. Field met last night, when steps were taken to further that gentleman's candidature. Mr. Thos. Bevan occupied the chair. Mr. Fredk. Roe was appointed secretary of the committee.
