AFFAIR.
M'AYHEW'S BODY FOUND.

OAMARU, 23rd July. The mystery of.the disappearance of Onsldw Mayhewy accused of the murder of George Swan Burke and the shooting of. the three* women at GemmelPs Crossnear Oamarn, on the night of 14th April, was cleared up this morning by the finding of .Mayhew's body in the thickgorse on the south bank of the Kakanui River, about a mile and a-half from the scene of the tragedy. The body was on its back. The left hand gripped tightly the, barrel of a service rifle. It is thought that Mayhew shot himself on the night of the tragedy.
