PAHIATUA, 23rd July.
Fire gutted a shop occupeid by L. A. Burberry, draper, who is a returned soldier. The stock was insured for £700. The building was owned by the T. C. Williams Estate, and .was insured for £120. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co.'s office adjoining suffered slight damage.
AUCKLAND, 23rd July.
An outbreak of fire at 3.15 this morning destroyed £1000 worth of stock and factory fittings belonging to Andrews and Clark, ' furniture manufacturers. There is an insurance of £500 in various offices. The building, which is owned by Williamson and Blomfield, is insured for £1200 in the New Zealand ' Office. The building was not greatly damaged.
