SOLDIERS SENTENCED
The following sentences of district courts-martial held at Featherston Camp have been promulgated: — 77508 Pte. J. W.. Duke, Cl Details, disobeying a lawful command of his superior office.!', two years' hard labour. Pte. A. Johnston, Featherston Details, desertion and loss of equipment, 120 days' detention and stoppage of pay, £5 13s 3d. : -
The following sentences have been imposed by district courts-martial at Trentham: —
Wilful disobedience of a command, 62803 Private S. C. Watchorn, A.S.C., two years' hard labour. Desertion when under orders for active service, and loss of equipment, Private A. Bethridge, Details (late 37th Reinforcements), 112 days' detention, and stoppages of pay £3 7e ?d; Private T. L. Synnott, Details (late 31st Reinforcements), 180 days' detention and stoppages of pay £2 18s lOd; Private J. R. Hughes, Details, 180 days', detention and stoppages of pay £2 13s Bd.
