CRITICISMS OF GENERAL GODLEY.
Speaking in the House of Representatives lato last night Mr. T. A. H. Field contended that the Defence Minister could not neglect the indictment, of General Godley, not on the score of his unpopularity, but on the subject of his recommendations for titles and promotions. Such charges not only gave dissatisfaction but were likely to destroy the efficiency of our forces at the front. The general opinion of the men was thai General Godloy had not "played the game" with the men at Gallipoli.
