HOCKEY CONTROL
A meeting of the Wellington Ladies' Hockey Association was held last evening, when correspondence was read from the Canterbury and - Man.awa.tu Associations in respect to arranging matches for tho first week in September. Those associations' proposals were agreed to, and dates were fixed as follow : —Manawatu v. Wellington, Wednesday, sth September;. Manawatu v. Canterbury, 6th September; Canterbury v. Wellington, Bth September. The proceeds will be devoted to the Sports. Gift Fund. Mr. A. W. Manning was appointed hqn. secretary of tho association and Miss Cathie hon. treasurer.
