'A Press Association message states: As a sequel to a meeting held last night, a large deputation of Anglican clergy and laity waited on Bishop' Sadlier yesterday, and congratulated him on shis election to the Bishopric of Gippsland, at the same time* expressing the earnest hope that he. would remain in this diocese. Bishop Sadlier acceded to tlie request, and has cabled declining nomination to Gippsland.
