A BURGLAR SENTENCED

George Young, a tailor, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment for breaking into Surgeon-General Ryan's room at the Rembrandt Hotel, and demanding money. Mrs. Ryan, who was alone at the time, called her husband, principal medical officer of the Victorian Military Forces, who, after a fierce struggle, secured Young.
