MAN STRANGLES HIMSELF
(1Y TKI.E6R4PB— PRFBB ASSOCIATION.) INVRRCARGILL, 12th May. A man named George Cooper., between 50 and 60 years of age, strangled himself in the lock-up at the Bluff to-night. Deceased h«id been drinking, and at his home became troublesome, and threatened to commit suicide. Ho was locked up. and at 7 o'clock appeared to have settled down. When a constable went to visit him, however, he was found to have strangled himself with a long strip of blanket. Decanted was a inurncu man. An inquest is to bo held to-mor row.
