THE EMPRESS THEATRE.

At the Empress Theatre to-day a new programme was presented, headed by the Vitagraph Company's drama "Little Kaintuck." The plot follows the fortunes of a manly little orphan newsboy who starts out to tramp from the squalid slums of tile city to his native mountains in Kentucky, and tells an attractive story of his adventures with a friend with whom he passes the winter. A scheme to steal a large amount of gold provides the basis of the theme of the Michigan drama "The Thwarted Plot." Other numbers are "The Williamson Weekly," "A Bottle of Musk," and "Max, the New Butler." Tho Empress full orchestra will contribute new selections this evening.
