REEFTON PROSPECTS
[BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] REEFTON, 9th September. It is understood that nothing was done at the Miners' Union meeting yesterday. The officials stated that the prospects of settlement are brighter, and it is also understood that the union will not be represented at the Supreme Court on Wednesday at Greymouth, when the Consolidated Goldlields, Ltd., appeal against the Magistrate's decision granting protection conditional on their applying to the Arbitration Court.
