PURCHASE OF HARBOUR FERRY STEAMERS
The agreement between the Eastbourne Borough Council and the Wellington Harbour Ferries Company for tho purchase by the former of the steamers Cobav and Duchess by the council is now in tho hands of the solicitors. A meeting of ratepayers of Eastbourne will shortly be called to approve or otherwise the raising of a loan for the purchase of the steamers and the establishment o.f a municipal ferry service.
