There is very little movement in the local stock market just now, chiefly on account of tbe poor condition of stock, due to tho scarcity of grass. Ono stock agent informed a Wairarapa Daily Times reporter that tho .wholo district was very bare of grass, but if it got a few good falls of rain between now and November ho anticipated a brisk market then. Until the shearing was completed, he did not expect any improvement in fat stock, of which there was practically none in the district at present.
