A. £ault{ of Auckland, who has been approached by the Wellington Boxing Association with a request that he will act as, substitute for Godfrey in the match against -Ireland, of Sydney, at tho Wellington Opera House next month, has replied that he is willing to do so, but at -catch weights only. The association has deferred entering into any agreement on this point until a consults! tion is held with Ireland, who wQI arrive from Sydney to-morrow.
