SLY GROG-SELLING. HEAVY FINE.
[DT TELEGBAr-H.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] . DUNEDIN, This Day. In the Police Court this morning Elizabeth Connolley, otherwise Payne, wah fined £25, and costs 15s, for sly grog-selling on sth January. Defendant pleaded not guilty, alleging that tho bottle of beer which had been secured by the polico was a gift; but the evidence, of a constable and of a man named George Ellison served to oecure a conviction.
