DUNEDIN, This Day. Interviewed by a Star representative to-day, Sif Joseph Ward said he had to bo in Wellington on the 28th to meet Mr. Hall-Jones, who, he was advised, was sufficiently recovered to enable him to take up work straight away. Regulations were now being framed, said tho Premier, with a view -to the admission of South Australian grapes under th 2 altered i.ariff of Id per lb imposed last session. Only South Australian grapes would bo admitted, because that was the- only State free from phylloxeia. Sir Joseph was unable to say whether ihe regulations would be altered in time to permit the importation of South Australian grapes this season, which was now fairly under »vay.
