Interviewed by a Star representative to-day, Sif Joseph Ward said he had to bo in Wellington on the 28th to meet Mr. Hall-Jones, who, he was advised, was sufficiently recovered to enable him to take up work straight away. Regulations were now being framed, said tho Premier, with a view -to the admission of South Australian grapes under th 2 altered i.ariff of Id per lb imposed last session. Only South Australian grapes would bo admitted, because that was the- only State free from phylloxeia.
