FRUIT CROP PROSPECTS FAVOURABLE REPORT.
[Br Telegrami.— Special to This Pobt.] I PALMERSTON, This Day. Mr. Boucher, Government Pomologist, who has been in this district for a few days, reports that decided progress has been made in 'the spraying of orchards, and m several* districts the orehardists have garden pests well under control. From wh#t has seen during his I travels throxiglx the colony, Mr. Boucher says the crop of peaches this year will ba a heavy one, of good fruit. The apple ciop varies in different localities; generally speaking, however, there will be a considerable quantity of clean, sound fruit on tho market this year throughout the Dominion. In Hawkea Bay the .fruit crop prospects arc better than ever before.
