DEATH OF A VETERAN.
[Br TELEGHAPH. — I*HESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr. Alexander Whisker, one of the few surviving soldiers present at the coronation of Queen Victoria, died yesterday, aged 89 yeats. He was a member of the 58th Regiment and took part in tho Maori wars.
