The following matches in the Brougham Hill Club's handicap events must be completed by Thursday night :— -Men's : Quinnel v. Cl»rke, Kirker v. Maddox, -Sampson v. Lindsay, J. W. Williams v. Veen, Edwards v. A. R. Williams, Fell v, J. A. B. Howe. Ladies: Miss Crisp v.' Miss Mitchinson, Miss Hurley v. Mrs. W. E. Howe, Miss Powell v. Mrs. Lindsay. The allocation of courts at Day's Bay for Saturday's matches is: — Cup : Karori v. Victoria College, 1, 5, 9. Racquet:. Muritai v. Kilbirnie, .7, 10, 11; Brougham Hill B v. Victoria College B f 8 and 12.
On. Saturday afternoon the Port Nicholson .Yacht Club will hold races for first, second and third class yachta. The events will be started from the Glasgow wharf, and for those desirous of witnessing the race the Pilot will follow the yachts round the course. Reflections upon the Nimrod's speed are not appreciated on board that vessel, telegraphs our Christchurch correspondent.
