VIGILANCE URGED. THE REDISTRIBUTION PROPOSALS. [BX TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] LONDON, 19th July. Addressing three hundred and sixty Unionist members of the House of Commons at a gathering in the Foreign Office, Mr. Balfour explained that a. committee or commission would be appointed in the autumn to consider the redistribution proposals, with a view to the introduction of a Bill early next session. The 'Premier urged Government supporters to be vigilant and defeat snap divisions. It would, he said, be a misfortune if the Opposition forced an election at the present unsuitable season. An election was most undesirable in the existing state of foreign politics. Mr. Chamberlain concurred that an early dissolution was undesirable. The meeting was of a harmonious nature.
