Thero were forty-four wections, containing in all 22,554 ucros, and tho necessary ballot .wits conducted at Murchison. Thirfcyono sections, compri«in|r over fifteen thousand ucrcs, weru taken up, and only in four cases was there a single application, while for one there were thirtytnino appHcunts. It is antrciiKited that tho remaining sections will bo secured by the unsuccessful appliumts.
