In his charge to the Grand Jury Mr. Justice Edwards remarked on the length of the calendar, regretting the apparent increase in the number of cases of theft and housebreaking. Daniel Watts, for breakingand entering, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment. George Roberts pleaded Guilty to a charge of embezzline £30 of the funds of the Union Bank of Australia, and sentence was deferred pending receipt of a report from the Probation Officer on an application under the first Offenders' Act.
