A prisoner in Sale Gaol attacked a warder, took his keys, and escaped. The governor of the gaol attempted to intercept him, but was knocked down and his skull fractured. He is now in a precarious condition. The prisoner was afterwards re-captured. AD4LAIDE, THIB DAT. A labourer named Pat man, living at Ororoo, shot his wife dead, and when arrested himself, dropped lifeless — it is supposed from the effects of poison. BRISBANE, This Dat.
