The weather has a doubtful appearance for the opening day of the Woodvillo meeting, and tho going will bo dead. The fields are on the large side, and tho card should provide a good day's spom. Racine; will commence at 11.30 a.m. with tho Hack Hurdles. The top weight O'Rjine. is well seasoned, and is a good stayer. , . Stylish Lady (H. Gray) and Theie are the best known of tho Trial Plate field, while Nursing Sister, who has won three races on end, may be favourite in the open sprinii. Her form at Feilding was attractive, as she comfortably accounted for Chimera while tho latter carried 9st. lib., and scored decisively on the second day. ~, .
