NATURALISATION STATUS OF LEADER GOVERNMENT INVESTIGATION ANNOUNCED

OTTAWA, June 8,
The Secretary of State (Mr F, Rinfret) has announced that the Government is investigating the naturalisation status of Dr. Egerhard, of Montreal, as a culmination to the charges made by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr R. B. Bennett) that Herr Hitler’s agents are active in Canada.
Dr, Egerhard is described as the “Canadian Fuhrer.”
Under the guise of social clubs, Nazis in various centres are alleged to be organising, by direct order from Berlin, and supplying the names of Canadian Germans who refuse to join.
MEASURE AGAINST JEWS SEGREGATION IN RAILWAY CARRIAGES (Received June 9, 10 p.m.) BERLIN, June 9., The German State Railways will shortly introduce special compartments labelled “Jews only.”' Jews are already segregated in hotels, restaurants, and cafes in the German provinces, but not in Berlin.
