♦- — ■ NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TKMSOBAH.) HAMILTON, June 8. The North Island Clay Bird Shooting Championship was won this afternoon by Duncan Fraser, of Kaiaua, Hauraki Gulf, after a shootoff with R. Clinch (Huntly) and B. Burgess (Wanganui). The wind was tricky. The conditions were 21 birds off 18 yards. The scores were:—Fraser. Clinch, and Burgess each 20," E. Groome (Hawke's Bay), A. MacCredie (Auckland), W. McMiken (Hamilton), H. Quarterman (Taihape), and W. Woolven (Hamilton) each. 19; A. Dobson (Auckland), J. Amundsen (Maamata), and F. Joblin (Gisborne) each 18 j H. Belk (Taihape) 17. In the shoot-off Burgess missed on the fifth round and Clinch at the eleventh. Clinch is 19 years old.
