IN THE GARDENS.
LARGE HOLIDAY CROWDS,
Fine weather has resulted in very birge crowds visiting the Gardens during the holidays. The winter gardens have been a special attraction, and on Saturday and Sunday tho houses were full all day with those admiring the tropical plants, and fine showing of begonias and gloxinias. . The playground ■ beside the kiosk was every day thronged with children and their parents, and many families picnicked there instead of having the discomfort of piling into trams and trains to the seaside.
