THE BRITISH LOSSES

(Received January 12th, 11.65 p.m.) LONDON, January 12. The British losses at Jidbolli were:--Killed: Lieutenant A. Bowden Smith and Surgeon-Lieutenant J. R. Welland. Nine officers and five privates were wounded, eight of the officers being severely wounded. Captain the Hon. T. Lister is missing. Nine irregulars were killed and seventeen wounded.

General Egerton is encamped two miles beyond Jidbolli. He bases his belief that it was the Mullah's main force on the number of riflemen present, and the many notables killed.
