A FAMILY TRAGEDY.
WIFE MURDER AND SUICIDE. United Press 'Association—ißy Eleotric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received January 12th, 10.11 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 12. A mysterious double tragedy is reported from Newtown, a suburb of Sydney. Alexander William Bedford Sly and his wiie were found in a bedroom with their throats cut.
The indications point to the fact that they mutually agreed to die, the hutband killing his wife and then himself.
The discovery was made by one of their dhildren, of whom there ore four.
The family was in very poor circumstances, and it is supposed that this preyed on their minds. Both were peculiar in manner, and frequently complained to the police that mysterious persons were wandering about their house.
