A CLERGYMAN SHOT BY A RELATIVE SYDNEY, April 28. , A clerk named Price, as the result of a family quarrel, shot bis brother-in-law, the Revv Mr Witoombe (residing near Penrith, 34 miles west of Sydney) with a revolver twice. Mr Witcombe is in ft dying condition. . . Price'states that he asked Mr Wkcombe to sign a document allowing Witcombe's wife so much per month. Witcombe tried to eject them from the bouse, and Price then drew the revolver. Witeombe's statement is to the effect that Price drew the revolver and endeavoured to compel him to sign the document. 1 . THE SUGAR COMPANY. At the half-yearly meeting of, the Sugar I Company a profit of £85,000 was shown, ! which, with the previous balance, , left ■ £175,000 fof* appropriation. A dividend of 10 per cent..-per annum was* declared, and £90,000 carried forward; The report showed a large increase in the* output, bver 100,000 tons having been put through for the halfyear. THE POSTAL ORDER FRAUDS. •SYDNEY, Auril 28. . , Three men-j-Craig, a.printer, Miller, a boilermaker, and Dwyer, a postal clerk— have been arrested in connection with the postal order frauds. ' >
