NO TOBACCO FOR THE PREACHERS.
The Presbyterian clergymen of the United States in convention in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, had under discussion the question of. witholding preachers' licenses from those theological students about to enter the ministry who use tobacco. The debate was warmly entered into by a number of delegates, and when the question was submitted to vote it was decided by a majority that, , "As a requisite to obtain a preai cher's license hereafter, be it re- , quired that the candidate.>,us i e to- ; bacco in no form whatever."
