WATERSIDER KILLED.
ACCIDENT ON WHARF.
Caught under a moving train, a waterside worker was killed on King's Wljarf yesterday afternoon. He was:— Mr. Francis Gray, aged 57, married, of 57 Burgoyne Street, Newton. At the time of the accident Mr. Gray was standing by a crane near the edge of the wharf and as the train started it struck heavy loading basket which knocked him under one of the moving 12 ton wagons. He was dragged about 25 yards before the train of about, 20 trucks could be stopped, and suffered fatal injuries from which he died before the ambulance arrived.
