ONE REASON.

Re the falling birthrate, please let m state my case which will pat a new angle on the subject. I have been abi» to give my babies everything and jut • little more than the average baby has, including a nice home, although I am one of those "too early" marriages. The only trouble ie I have had the audacity to have three babies close together, and instead of people attending to their own affairs I am constantly criticised. If I venture down the etreet the heads of my more skilful and - experienced eietem get together and, they do not care et all whether my feelings are hurt or not One woman told me straight out I was disgusting. Now is that encouraging to anyone to bring' little ones into the world. If I board the tram with my two elder ones, plus push chair, I am greeted by the conductor's face falling and all eyes are upon me and the tongues get going to the tune of "so young," "disgraceful." "such a pity , and remarks like these. So to other young women I say even if yon arj healthy and can produce beautiful baHnesT and can give them all they desire, don't do it—it is really "too 'disgusting." MODERN MOTHER.
