WOMEN'S LEAGUE.
NORTHCOTE ACTIVITIES.
The president, Mrs. W. E. Carter, occupied the chair at the monthly meeting of the Jforthcote Women's Progressive League in the Parish Hall. The sum of £4 was raised at the bring-and-hny stall for distribution for benevolent purposes.
A donation of £3 wa« made at the instaiifa of the Xorthcote convener, Mrs. Archie' Campbell, for the purchase of summer pants and shirts for boys at the Wilson Home for Crippled Children. The league offered to undertake a collection at North cote on Friday, October 22, on behalf of ' the St. John Ambulance Association, and several members volunteered for the duty. An enjoyable programme was contributed, including readings by Mesdames P. 0. Minns and F. C. Swinbank, and recitations by Mrs. I. W. Muirliead.
