TORRENTIAL RAIN.
DELUGE ROUND LONDON. British Official Wireless. RUGBY, September 22. A torrential rain storm broke over London and the surrounding districts late on Sunday evening. Traffic was slowed down and many motorists were forced to halt temporarily. Dover was thrown into darkness and tramcars were stopped for about an hour when lightning struck an electric cable.
