STRIKE AT SINGAPORE.
CHINESE WORKERS E.ESUME. (Received 10 a.in.) SINGAPORE, September 22. Striking Chinese building and pineapple factory workers, also 2000 Air Force base labourers who struck in sympathy, have nearly all returned to work. The employers promised to investigate their grievances, which are allegedto be insufficient pay, long hours and inability to form a union. The strike began five days ago.
