SUNDAY PLAY AT RUNCIMAN.
When the second annual meeting of the Ruuciman Lawn Tenuis Club was held in the Drury Public Hall, presided over by Mr. F.. C. Heard, the secretary reported a successful season, the club having won the B shield controlled by the Franklin Association. A decision was reached to open the courts for Sunday play. Opening day was lixed for October 3 at 2 p.m. Officers elected :—Patron, Mr. J. Mcl'henson ; president, Mr. E. Fausett; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. 11. McDowell, L. Legg, A. Donald, T. Handley and A. Walker; secretary. Miss Mavjorie Handley ; treasurer, Miss V. Legg ; committee, Misses M. E. Handley, K. Cossey, Messrs. D. Hoult, M. Craig, J. Aitkenliead and R. Hoult; sociaj committee, Misses V. McDowell, V. Legg, A. Walker, Messrs. E. Taylor, J. Hayes, R. Hoult and J. Aitkenhoad.
