ROSS V? CARROIiiL BOUT. PROMOTER LATE WITH GUARANTEE SYDNEY, September 22. The promoter of the Barney Ross-Jack Carroll boxing contest in Sydney, Mr. Charles Lucas, to-day cabled to Ross' manager asking for an extension of time until 3 p.m. to-morrow to enable him to secure the remainder of the requisite guarantee of £13,500 to Ross. Mr. Lucas is confident that he will obtain the £6500 still required.
