AUCKLAND CLUB.
The Auckland ..Cycle.'. Club continued its road programme at Panmure. on Saturday afternoon, when overhead conditions were most favourable for racing. Sixteen started in the 10-mile Junior championship, which was decided under unpaced conditions,, each rider leaving at one-minute intervals. A sealed handicap was held in conjunction. Resultss:— Championship.—L. Mitchell, time 27.39, 1 ; D. Banks. 25.2, 2; ,T. Needham, 28.6, 3. Also started: H. Fletcher, 28.12: W. Coughev, 28.17; C. Kellett, 28.21 : D. Hills, 25.35 : A- McLachlan, 20.17 : .T. King, 29.42 ; B. Sercombe, 20.51 ; R. Beeby, 30.22; L. Cunningham, 31.1 : P. Collier, 31.50; B. Collier, 32.S ; K. O'Sliaughnessy, 32.11. Sealed Handicap.—J. Needhain (2.10). time 25.50, 1: L. Cunningham (4.10), 20.51, 2: B. Sercombe (2.40), 27.11, 3. Twenty-One seniors started in the 30j miles Clarke Cup contest. Result :— E. Harrison (7.0). time 86.52 1 S. Fussell (9.30), 89.23 2 A. Mackrell (5.30), 88.24 3 IC. Edkias (7.0), 88.56 4 (GLOUCESTER CLUB. A 22-mile road race was held at Mangere on Saturday under ideal conditions. J. Bicknell and J. Sheehan dead-heated for first place in 70.0. A. Ke.r, was third in 70.01 1-5.
