The tournament, which 'has drawn exceptionally large entries, will commence St 7 p.m. and will give patrons about four hours of the veiy best fistic entertainment possible to obtain in New Zealand. The. elimination bouts to-night will probably produce as much excitement and hard fighting as' the bouts •between the survivors to-morrow ami Wednesday evenings, as novices are invariably entertaining and can be relied upon to give of their best from the first o-ong. Good 'boxers as well as some of the"defending champions will also be taking part on to-night's portion of the programme, which will mean that more that twenty of the seventy-odd bouts which will deckle the championships will have to be fought. For years the championships have' been popular with fight fans, but it is expected that the tournament this year will be a record success.
