ANNUAL GOLF BALL.

WAITEMATA CLUB. The Masonic Hall, Devonport, was the scene of a popular function on Saturday night when the Waitemata Golf Club held its annual ball. The entrance to the hall was draped with flags, while the stage was similarly decorated. The club's colours, green and gold were effcc-

tively used in the hall, where coloured streamers were draped fi;om a central chandelier to points about the walls. In the supper room the same colour scheme was carried out with streamers and balloons, while vases of spring flowers and fern adorned the tables.

The guests were received by the president, Mr. Gainor Jackson, and Mrs. Jackson, who wore a gown of Marina green lace. The ladies' committee comprised: — Mrs. D. Prime, who wore black satin backed crepe; Mrs. Carl Prime, blue velvet; Mrs. A. E. Clyde, black velvet; Mrs. F. Langley, black tulip ring velvet; Mrs. McDougal, midnight blue georgette; and Miss M. Watson, pale pink crepe sylvia.
