SIX HOSPITAL CASES.

SMALL CAR OVERTURNS. \ TEAM AND TAXI IN SMASH. Shortly before 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon Mr. Frederick Prior, aged 33, a storekeeper on the motor sliip Rangitata, was hurled through the roof of a small saloon motor car when it overturned three times and landed in a ditch at Pokeno. Mr. Prior suffered injuries to tlie ribs and after receiving medical attention he was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition is satisfactory. Some other members of the Rangitata's crew, who were also travelling in the car, were injured. Mr. Alexander Marshall Cooke, who drove the ear, was hurt in the right leg, and Mr. William O'Shannahan suffered an injury to liis head. They were taken to the hospital also, but wej-e discharged after treatment in the casualty department. The tliree men were on their way to Hamilton, and it was when the driver gave way to an approaching car on the Razorback deviation that the accident occurred. The small car went off the road and overturned three times, coming to rest in a 2ft ditch badly damaged. When 'the motor car in which they were travelling collided with the back of a taxicab at the intersection of Queen and Wellesley Streets on Saturday evening and then struck a tramcar, two men suffered concussion. They*were Mr. Gerard Palmer, aged 23, single, of SG, Asquitli Avenue, Mount Albert, and Mr. Stanley Morgan, aged 25, single, of 3, Lynwood Avenue, Mount Albert. Today the condition of neither is serious. Two women in the taxicab, which was travelling up Queen Street, were shaken, and one of them fainted. The car then swung in a circle, striking a tramcar standing at the safety zone. Damage was done to the front of the car. A St. John ambulance took the two men to the Auckland Hospital. Fall from Bicycle. When he fell from his bicycle near his home in the Dominion Road extension on Saturday afternoon, Mr. William Begg, aged 57, a carpenter, suffered concussion. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance and his condition is satisfactory. ' Boy Falls Downstairs. As the result of slipping on some marble stairs at a picture theatre in Newton on Saturday afternoon, Ronald Kelly, aged 11, of 00, East Street, Newton, fell and received concussion. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance and his condition is satisfactory. Football Injuries. As the result of injuries received when they were playing football on Saturday, two young men were admitted to the Auckland Hospital, one suffering from concussion and the other from a broken jaw. They were Frederick Walden, aged IS, of 35, Arnold Street. Grey Lynn, and Mr. Melville Sullivan aged 20, single, of Te Atatu. The condition of both is considered quite satisfactory.
