THOMAS BRACKEN.
I was glad indeed to see the well-written article and photograph of the true to life bust of our esteemed poet in Saturday's "Star." I knew dear old Tom Bracken intimately, and thanks again to your w-ell-timed rebuke to those who would dare to make such a monstrous charge that Bracken did not write '"Not Understood." In these days of literary piracy your able article dealing with the authorship of the above-mentioned poem will be copied by influential dailies throughout New Zealand, which will on each occasion be a further rebuke to literary burglars. Could the bust be secured for our Museum? Now this is a work which some of our leading citizens should get on. I would be glad to give my quota. A BRACKEN ENTHUSIAST.
