THE WATERFRONT ROAD.

Again the residents of the Kohimarama district are disappointed about the opening of the waterfront road. This is more particularly disappointing at a time when the rest of Auckland's suburbs are enjoying Cheer Up Week. What, I ask, is the use of a Cheer Up Week to those who have to pay 2/ to get into town to see it? To say nothing of the time taken up in transport. Had the waterfront road been opened people with families would perhaps have been able to get into town once or twice during the week, but they will now be lucky if they are able to get in once only. I would suggest that a Cheer Up Week be held in Kohimarama. The residents need it. HOPE DEFERRED.
