ACTIVITY AT WHITE ISLAND. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, this clay. Slight earthquake shocks were experienced in Opotiki yesterday and to-day. Wliite Island was reported to be exceptionally active yesterday. A minor eruption is reported to have occurred on the island this morning. A dense black column of smoke is to be seen rising to a considerable height.
