ENTERIC FEVER.
OUTBREAK AMONG MAORIS. IMPURE WATER SUSPECTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association ) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Cases of enteric fever have been reported from Maori pas in Canterbury, but the mcdical officer of health, !Dr. Telford, is reticent as to the number of people and the pas affected. The cases are believed to be due to impure •water supplies. Maoris who attended a railway picnic at Little River on Sunday were escorted back to the pa by a policeman.
