NEW RAILWAY BLOCKED.
(By Telegraph.—Tress Association.) WHANGAREI. this, day. Arrangements have been made by the Railway Department to take over the Kioreroa to Portland section of the Whangarei-Auckland railway line on the 31st inst., but. as the result of the recent | storm, the line is completely blocked by I slips, and the track lifted. The taking ever and opening is therefore indefinitely 'delayed.
