FLOODS IN WAIROA.
BRIDGE SERIOUSLY DAMAGED. Flood damage in Upper Wairoa is heavy, and stock have been lost. The Kirikopuni Bridge between Oargaville and Whangarei is seriously damaged. The piles were broken by floating timber and debris. It is feared that the bridge will go. The structure will cost between £3000 and £4000 to replace. Maize fields in the district .have been ruined.
