THE CONVENIENCE AT REMUERA.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you grant a ratepayer space to protest in conection with a public convenience being erected in an absolutely unsuitable position at the Remuera terminus? What are our "City fathers" thinking of to erect this building '13ffc from the Auckland Meat Co.'s shop? It is practically outside the Meat Company's window, and inside arc the corned meat vats and mincing machines in constant use. Is this in the interest of public health? Why should it not be erected adjoining the tram waiting shed -as originally intended, and not on a blind street? A ratepayers' petition was presented to the Works Committee to have it moved, but still it goes on.—l am, etc., RATEPAYER.
